HMRDO EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE
Metabolic Education, Research Innovation & Training (M.E.R.I.T.) Certification Program
The Human Metabolic Research & Development Organization (HMRDO), led by Prof. Dr. A.S. Narain Naidu, PhD (Medicine), Director-General HMRDO, is a consortium of scientists and healthcare professionals dedicated to developing standardized evaluation protocols and evidence-based interventions for managing and resetting HMR/D. The HMRDO-M.E.R.I.T. Certification Program specifically emphasizes the role of chiropractic care in potential clinical management of viral-induced HMR/D in post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), commonly known as the Long-COVID.
The HMRDO-M.E.R.I.T. Certification Program, presents an innovative chiropractic approach for effective management of viral-induced metabolic reprogramming/ dysregulation (HMR/D) in PASC.
A privilege of delivering the keynote lecture on ‘Precision Chiropractic for Long-COVID Recovery’ at the FCA National on August 17, 2024, in Orlando, FL. Thanks to the 3,000 amazing chiropractors for their undivided attention and enthusiasm. We announce the launch of M.E.R.I.T. Certification Program in North America, a collaborative initiative between HMRDO and FCA. This program will prepare hundreds of chiropractors to advance Long-COVID healthcare across the continent.

Why Attend the HMRDO-M.E.R.I.T. Certification Program?
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The HMRDO-M.E.R.I.T. Certification Program aims to enhance the role of chiropractic care in potential reset of viral-induced HMR/D, with a focus on the neuro-cognitive and skeleto-muscular impairments associated with PASC.
With approximately 500 million people globally suffering from PASC, there is a dire need for more effective treatment options. PASC patients can be categorized into four distinct clusters or sub-phenotypes based on the wide range of symptoms affecting various organs and systems:
Sub-phenotype 1 (33.7%): Characterized by cardiac & renal manifestations
Sub-phenotype 2 (32.8%): Includes respiratory issues, sleep & anxiety disorders
Sub-phenotype 3 (23.4%): Marked by skeleto-muscular & neurological disorders
Sub-phenotype 4 (10.1%): Involves gastro-intestinal & pulmonary dysfunctions
SIGNIFICANCE
-
Critical Need: As Long-COVID cases continue to rise, it is crucial for chiropractic professionals to gain the knowledge and pertinent skill set for effective management of these complex metabolic syndromes.
-
Innovative Approach: The program marks a shift towards a more precise, evidence-based scientific approach in chiropractic care, integrating advanced nutritional and interventional strategies.
GLOBAL HEALTH CRISIS
Chiropractic care can play a significant role in the recovery process for PASC patients, particularly those in Sub-phenotypes 2 and 3. When integrated with system-targeted, evidence-based precision nutrition, chiropractic care has synergistic impact in resetting viral-induced HMR/D for a healthy recovery. The HMRDO-M.E.R.I.T. Certification Program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the treatment of PASC patients, improving their overall recovery outcomes.
Prof. Dr. Narain Naidu, Director-General, HMRDO, talks to Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, an internationally acclaimed educator & President Emeritus of Parker University in Texas, about a potential opportunity for chiropractic care to reset viral-induced human metabolic reprogram/ dysregulation (HMR/D) in PASC or Long-COVID. It is emphasized that the HMRDO-M.E.R.I.T. Certification Program is a forward-thinking initiative for chiropractors to proactively and effectively handle the complex challenges of Long- COVID and future viral-induced HMR/D episodes.
