Prof. Dr. Kenji Sato

Prof. Dr. Kenji Sato, PhD., is the Deputy Director and Professor of Applied Biosciences, at Kyoto University, Japan. Dr. Sato received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University in 1988. His research interests focus on health promoting activities of foods, especially peptide and amino acid metabolites, and Carbonyl stress on body. Dr. Sato is an elected fellow of the International Society for Nutraceuticals & Functional Foods (ISNFF). He is also an associate editor of npj Science of Food and International Advisory Board of the ISNFF. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to food science, Dr. Sato received the Science Merit Award by the ISNFF in 2016.
